Amy Elkins has been involved in the model horse hobby for over 20 years. It all began with a live show in Montana. After that she was hooked.
She has hosted several live shows, run a model horse enthusiasts club, published a newsletter for a few years, and now enjoys showing and painting in the Portland, Oregon area in her hilltop studio with beautiful views of Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge.
Amy draws inspiration from the natural world around her and applies it to her finishing work. She works primarily in pastels with detail work in several other mediums.
